What Is Your Name?
Lucy Marie Foley
How Old Are You?
Where Do You Live?
I live in Lichfield (West Midlands) but also spend a lot of time in London.
How Long Have You Been A Presenter?
I’m quite new to The Fab Lab but can’t wait to get going more!
What Is Your Favourite Science Experiment?
My favourite experiment has got to be Dragon’s Breath – I love how dramatic it is!
Who Is Your Favourite Scientist?
I think I would go with Steven Hawking. Partly because I think the theory of everything is a beautiful film, but mainly because it takes a lot of passion and drive to work as hard and well as he did, while struggling with motor neurone disease. He didn’t let anything get in the way of doing what he loved.
Do You Have Any Hobbies?
I write spoken word and poetry. I’m also a pretty good skier and I spend a lot of time in the gym.
If The World Was Going To End Tomorrow, What Would You Do Tonight?!
If the world was going to end tomorrow, I’d probably waste my whole night deliberating on what to do because I’m an awful decision maker!
What Is Your Most Embarrassing Memory?
It’s not even that bad but it makes me cringe so much when I think about it. I was working as a waitress and an old man wanted me to pass him the spoon I was holding so he could eat his dessert. He put his hand out for me to give it to him but I got confused and gave him my hand instead! He then held my hand for a few seconds before telling me he just wanted a spoon. To make it worse my manager was stood behind me the whole time.
Tell Us Something About You We Didn’t Know!
I once kept 3 newborn mice alive for a whole night. My cat brought a pregnant mouse into the house who gave birth and then ran away, so I used an old glitter glue tube and some kitten milk to feed them every hour through the night before taking them to a farm the next day. They looked like little pink jelly beans!
Thank you Lucy and welcome to the team!
